Yorkshire Dampcourse is the trading name of Catrake Ltd, which was incorporated on 6th. August 1991.
Previously Yorkshire Dampcourse was set up as a limited company by a previous owner, and started to trade in 1974. Catrake Ltd bought the goodwill and assets in 1991 after the company ceased trading.
To celebrate this 25-year milestone the company had a day out for all employees (although one was unable to attend). This started with a lunch, followed by a trip to Thirsk Races.
One thing became clear, and that is that we are better at damp proofing, structural water proofing and timber treatment (and other things the company does) than betting on winners of horse races! Our best win of the day was on the last race when an outsider came in to pay up £45 to one lucky punter in our group.
A great and memorable day was had by all.
